Q. DO YOU OFFER HOUSE PLANS TO BUILD A NEW HOME?
A. We are a custom home builder. That means that no two homes we build are alike. We create custom home that meet the individuals needs and dreams of each family. We can work with plans you have already had drawn up, or we can listen to your ideas of what you'd like your new house to look like and have you work with our architect to draw up plans that are exactly what you are wanting in a home! We would love to work with you to build the house of your dreams!
Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BUILD A NEW HOME?
A. The length of time typically depends upon the size of the home. For most homes that are 4000 square feet or less, we will sign a contract for 6 months, but most homes can be finished in less time. Many factors come into play with selections for finishes, but a typical time frame would run 4-6 months. For homes that are greater than 4000 square feet, we will evaluate the home on a case by case basis. In any situation, we will keep you up to date as to the progress of your home. We guarantee that we will finish the home prior to the completion date and will notify you 60 days and 30 days in advance to allow you the proper time-frame to make the necessary move-in arrangements.
Q. WHAT IS THE COMMUNICATION PROCEDURE DURING THE BUILDING PROCESS?
A. A benefit of selecting Patterson Homes and Remodeling as your builder, is that you will work directly with Josh throughout the construction of your new home. We visit our job sites a minimum of once a day, sometimes more, depending upon the stage of construction. You will meet with Josh at your new home for several walk-through to go over design elements, options and your selections. We oversee the trades and vendors that work on your home and have established a unique relationship with all of them. They know what is expected of them and in return, we have the peace of mind that your new home is being constructed with only the finest of materials and skill required. Throughout the process, questions may arise for which you can either call or e-mail. We will respond promptly and get your the information you need to feel confident in the building process of your new home.
Q. WHAT TYPES OF HOME REMODELING PROJECTS DO YOU DO?
A. We address all projects both large AND small. From projects as simple as new flooring, to a total house remodel, we provide the same attention to detail no matter what your project. The only differences are the time frame and cost of your project.
Q. CAN WE STAY IN OUR HOME WHILE THE WORK IS COMPLETED?
A. For the majority of home remodeling projects, the answer to this question is yes! For a larger scale remodel, you may feel more comfortable being away during the major part of your project, and that is okay too. We have done remodeling projects while the homeowner is on vacation, and as long as we have a way to get in touch with you, that is simply up to the preference of the homeowner. All of our projects are completed in such a way that disruption to you is kept at a minimum.
Q. HOW LONG DOES A PROJECT TAKE?
A. Depending upon the scope of work, a timetable is discussed before your project begins. We will not start a project until all facets have been accounted for. We encourage selections to be made, or at least narrowed down, before the project begins. Delivery and installation dates play a big role in the work schedule. Our ultimate goal of the project is to have each stage flow from one to the next.
Q. CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO THE PROJECT?
A. Of course! What project would not be complete with a few changes and adaptations to the original scope of work? As is true with every project, additional ideas arise as the project moves forward. We understand that as the project takes shape, your vision may change and this may result in a request to change the layout, add a window or remove a wall. We will most certainly work with your ideas to make your project everything you want it to be as it moves forward!
